Overview STACCATO Training Plan

STACCATO provided 11 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) with unique multidisciplinary scientific training by teaching them essential theory as well as developing the practical skills required to prosper in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing research environment based in either industry or academia. All ESRs were also enrolled in a structured PhD programme of one of our academic partners and have their individual research projects.

STACCATO’s modular training programme was designed to complement the local PhD training and to help ESRs build industry-relevant skills and practical competencies. The industry-focused training was complemented by BioPharma Focus events that provided a deep understanding of the challenges associated with producing different biopharmaceuticals. Scientific training modules also built key skills and included a workshop on single-cell sequencing. To position STACCATO ESRs to become future EU scientific leaders, transferable skills training modules included IP management and a Biotech Pitching Event.
